My resolutions must be reduced to one powerful word that covers any number of parts of my life.  That is my rule!  The rule started about a decade ago.  The usual resolutions were soooooo boring–lose weight, stop this or that, start this or that,  and on and on, not to mention that they never lasted more than a day and a half.  Some of the better ones have been CELEBRATE, SIMPLIFY, RECYCLE, REDUCE…you get the idea.

My first choice was CELEBRATE.  Celebrate each day.  Celebrate each sunrise.  Celebrate each great cup of coffee.  Celebrate each friendly smile.  Celebrate came to me after a friend’s life ended way too soon.

SIMPLIFY worked like a charm–on every single solitary thing.  Try it!  Oh, and REDUCE caused a weight loss of 20+lbs and cleaned out the closets and cut the Christmas decorations down by half as they were being packed away.

This year the word is GRATITUDE.   Gratitude for 365 days has to make  2013 the best.  And I am starting with being grateful for you guys who are reading this right now!  Happy New Year…
